| Cause of U-37 crash still under investigation |
J.W. Myers has scheduled surgery on his broken right foot next week in Seattle according to the U-37 Schumacher Racing website.
The team posted a CAT scan of Myers' foot on their website which shows that the Burien, Wash. native completely broke four of the five toes in the violent collision at Detroit on Saturday. Friday, July 16, 2010

DETROIT - Dave Villwock took one more step toward immortality by running away with the Jarvis Restoration 101st American Power Boat Association Gold Cup on Sunday in Detroit.
The win was the 60th of Villwock's career and his eighth in the Gold Cup. He is now just two victories shy of tying Bill Muncey for the most career wins in history at 62 and three Gold Cups away from Chip Hanauer's record 11. Monday, July 12, 2010

Madison Courier's David Campbell reports from Detroit that J.W. Myers boat lost skidfin in Roostertail Turn and headed straight for dock area. Myers managed to steer boat away from dock area but hit sea wall near a fan section with heavy damage and debris flying into crowd. Myers being transported to an area hospital with injuries.

| U-10 pilot David Bryant killed in racing accident in Australia |
TAREE, Australia (AP) - Unlimited hydroplane driver David Bryant was killed when his flat-bottom raceboat flipped in Australia on Sunday.
The 44-year-old Mesa, Ariz. native was driving the She's the Culprit in the Taree Aquatic Power Boat Club's Easter Classic on the Manning River in New South Wales when apparent engine failure caused the boat to wreck.
A statement from the New South Wales police media unit said Bryant was ejected from his craft as it traveled at a speed of about 135 mph. Monday, April 05, 2010
